Physio FAQ’s

How many appointments will I need?
At the initial consultation you will be assessed to discover the cause and extent of your symptoms. A treatment plan will then be made according to this with an approximate timescale given. Treatment will begin straight away.

Do you have parking?
There is free street parking next to the clinic.

Do you direct bill to insurance companies?
We are registered with all major insurance companies and we bill them directly for your treatment. You will need to contact them before your initial appointment to get an authorisation number which you can bring to your appointment.

How long will my appointment take?
Initial assessment and treatment will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Subsequent treatments take 30-45 minutes.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
Bring appropriate clothing. For lower body injuries, bring shorts; for neck and shoulder injuries bring a vest top. There are shorts and gowns at the clinic should they be required.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to come to physio?
No you don’t need a doctor’s referral. However if you have health insurance, they may require you to have a doctor’s referral before authorising treatment.

Are we in contact with your doctor?
With your permission, we will contact your GP if it is important that they know about your injury or require any further medical follow up e.g x-ray.

Physio or massage for me?
If you're not sure, please give us a call and we will point you in the right direction.

Niall treated me for persistent lower back pain which was preventing me from exercising and sometimes even walking. He spent time diagnosing the problem and explaining it to me, and when treatment began I was amazed with how quickly I felt relief in my back. With Niall’s guidance I have resumed my exercise regime and am happy to say that I have had no issues since.
